Aesthetics and Drama Festivals
Aesthetics Month 2025
In February, our ARTSbassadors dived into a vibrant week of creativity, rhythm, and self-expression. From sketching and string art to doodling and drumming, students explored a wide range of artistic activities that let their imaginations shine. They tested their knowledge through Applause musical countdown games and stepped up as creative leaders in Arts Interest Groups—designing tote bags, learning dance moves, and building confidence through the arts.
Adding to the excitement, Play@D’Gallery recess activities sparked joy and imagination. Students built imaginative structures with LEGO and magnetic tiles, and had fun mimicking poses with playful stick figures. It was a joyful celebration of learning through art, play, and creativity!

Aesthetics Month 2024
This year, our ARTSbassadors explored the theme Classics Versus Modern through exciting, hands-on experiences. In February, students discovered the magic of puppetry—from Pinocchio to Toy Story—through performances, puppet-making, special effects makeup, dance, and storytelling. They ended the experience by creating flipbooks that shared messages of kindness and friendship.
In April, the Aesthetics Festival brought this theme to life once more, with engaging workshops, performances, and art activities. As a token of their creative journey, students received a commemorative pin to remember their exploration of the arts. We can’t wait to create more memories at next year’s festival!

Aesthetics Month 2023
This year, all Northlanders became ARTSbassadors, taking part in monthly Aesthetics experiences aligned with Applause 2023 – Summer Soirée. As they collected stamps towards the Golden Ticket event, students engaged in a range of creative and expressive activities.
In February’s Magical theme, they enjoyed craft activities, student-led recitals, and a magician’s performance. March focused on Costumes and Words, where students made crowns, performed short lines, and explored stage presence and digital music through GarageBand. In May, with an Animals theme, students took part in multi-sensory guessing games, mindfulness colouring with AR tech, calligraphy, and a hip-hop dance session.
It was a lively and enriching journey of creativity, performance, and artistic exploration.

Aesthetics Month 2022
"The festival was very interesting and exciting as I got to watch my school mates dance and sing on stage! Also, I got to play detective and solved clues at the booths!" Auni Sofiya, 3C (2019)
We organise an Aesthetics Festival yearly to encourage our students to imagine and play creatively!

Aesthetics Month 2019
Mini detectives
galore
In 2019, we explored the theme of mystery in our Aesthetics experiences. The students used clues at the various booths to guess the identity of the "celebrity" teacher who was featured in our Applause production. Festival participants who guessed correctly were either invited to a tea session or a movie date with the "celebrity" teacher in school.
